Do You Know?

How long can lithium batteries AA last?

Lithium is the alkali metal with the lowest density and the greatest electrochemical potential and energy-to-weight ratio. It produces higher and more stable energy. Blinkspower lithium AA typically lasts 3X longer than alkaline and 1.5X longer than other lithium batteries.

Will lithium batteries not work in winter?

Temperature affects the life of all batteries to some extent, but lithium batteries are one of the least sensitive types to heat or cold. You probably won't notice a very noticeable drop in battery life in your daily life. Lithium batteries are the best choice when you need very long life or extreme temperatures.

Why lithium batteries make toy cars go faster?

The lithium chemistry system supports 2.5A continuous discharge and 4A peak discharge of the battery, which maximizes the potential energy of the device. Lights will be brighter and toy cars will run faster.

Single-use lithium batteries that are great for remotes

This 4 pack of Lithium AA batteries from BlinksPower is good. They are single-use lithium batteries, which means they are far less likely to leak when in use for many years. Leaking alkaline batteries have damaged several of my remote controls over the years, so I consider powering remote controls with batteries that have very long shelf lives and a design that's much less likely to leak to be a good investment. The current price, about $10 for 4 AA batteries is pretty reasonable and comparable to competing products at this quantity. I would note that the voltage at rest is 1.8 volts, which is fine in most devices but it higher than classic alkaline or rechargeable batteries. I can't check on a 20 year shelf life claim, but that sort of longevity means they might be the only pair of batteries your remote control ever needs.

1.5VDC Recovered after heavy use

I've always had a problem with my battery-operated wine cork remover, because it uses s lot of power, for a short period of time., and alkaline batteries don't last very long. So, this is my test case with these lithium batteries. I've attached a photo of the battery level. All batteries read GOOD,100%, or 1.5VDC. The batteries were then used to power the wine cork remover, and extraction. Then I read the battery levels again. All four batteries did fall to about 90%, or about 1.35VDC. However, after about an hour all four batteries recovered to their original 100%, or 1.5VDC.Now I'll have to wait a long time to see if the shelf-life claim of 20 years is valid. Lol

Perfect for outdoor thermometers, driveway alarms, and more.

We had our first cold weather (around 17F / -8C) and the alkaline batteries in our outdoor thermometer and driveway alarm gave up. But after switching to these batteries, my outdoor devices work in the cold. They might be a little bit thicker than a Duracell AA battery, but I didn’t have any trouble with fit. And although these lithium batteries are not rechargeable, they should at least a couple of years in low power devices like outdoor thermometers.

Powerful batteries

I plugged these batteries into one of my flameless candles, and it was brighter than it’s been with other batteries. Side note that I read the description incorrectly and just want to point out that these are NOT rechargeable. Still happy to have them.
